Aeromodelling
I've always had an interest in aircraft ever since I was knee high
to a grasshopper. When I was about 8 or 9 my dad and I started building
"free flight" model planes.
So a few years ago when I moved to Chineham (with work) I visited
an old mate of mine Paul, who had built a plane, and so he got me
back into the hobby and several thousands of pounds later (thanks
Fish!) here I am.
In the past I have also dabbled in radio controlled boats, cars
and even motor bikes.
Flying radio controlled aerobatic aircraft may sound boring to
some of you but it's creative, gets you in the fresh air, it's very
skilful (I bet you have trouble patting your head and stroking your
stomach. Well imagine the co-ordination that is needed to control
4 different things all at the same time!)
As well as building and flying these model aircraft, I have done
2 web sites for model flying clubs. The first one I created was
for the The Basingstoke
Model Aero Club (BMAC) This is now maintained by Neil
McCoy. The second and most recent is for the Aldershot
Model Club (AMC) I have also passed this across to one of their
members as I am no longer a member of AMC.
If you would like a web site created, I am currently taking orders,
please send me an email
with a rough outline of your requirements, and contact details.
I also created a website for my friend Mark Webster to had a model
aircraft building service. Unfortunately it's no longer running,
but you can still check out the site, MAWcraft.
Anyway here are a few pictures of some of the models I have built
starting with the oldest.

Hopefully sometime in the near future I
will start on a scratch built Dornier
Do18 Flying Boat. In the meantime I have collected some
pictures and drawings of the Do-18.
If you have any other ones or more information or plans etc
I would be very grateful for a copy. Please
click here to email me the info
After success with larger and larger electric planes, I have
now decided to only fly electric from now on as it's so much
better, less mess, smaller flight box, no starting problems,
no tuning problems, more reliable and now with the advent
of high power brushless outrunner motors and Lithium Polymer
batteries they now have the same power and duration as IC
powered models
I will be selling all of my old IC engines and some of my
planes and I have converted my ZN Majestic and Flair Harvard
from IC to Electric.
There are/have been more but they either didn't last long
enough for me to take a "picky" or I haven't got
round to getting the camera out yet. Watch this space!
